You can combine our chairs with other pieces from our Adirondack furniture range to create the ultimate garden furniture setup.
As these Adirondack Chairs have already been pressure treated there is never any need to apply any additional paint, varnish, or preservative. Some people prefer to have their Adirondack Chairs painted but this is purely cosmetic.
Our Adirondack Chairs make the perfect addition to your garden, conservatory, or summerhouse and you can rest assured that when you buy from us you are making a purchase that will last for many years to come.
Adirondack chairs are renowned as some of the most comfortable outdoor seating available. The design features carefully angled back slats and a contoured seat that naturally supports your body. The wide armrests are perfect for resting a book, drink or cup. Our chairs are made from chunky 33mm thick timber (except seat and back slats which are 20mm), ensuring solid, long-lasting comfort. For taller users over 6 feet, we offer extra-tall back slats with an additional 4 inches of height.
The extra high seating option adds 3 inches to the seat height, making it easier to get in and out of the chair. This is particularly beneficial for older users or those with mobility considerations. However, it's only suitable for people over 5 foot 8 inches tall, as shorter users' feet may not comfortably reach the ground. The standard height works perfectly well for most users and maintains the traditional low-profile Adirondack aesthetic.
Our Adirondack chairs are made from pressure-treated timber, so they require no maintenance whatsoever. You don't need to apply any paint, varnish or preservative. The chairs can stay outside year-round in all weather conditions. Some customers prefer to paint their chairs for aesthetic reasons, but this is purely cosmetic. You may notice small cracks appearing in the timber, particularly in the arms, as the wood dries in sun and wind. This is completely normal with pressure-treated timber and won't affect the structural integrity or lifespan of your chair.
Yes, we offer an extensive colour range across three pricing tiers. Tier 1 colours (£86) include shades like Sage, Beach Blue, Sky Reflection and Somerset Green. Tier 2 colours (£130) include Coastal Mist, Fresh Rosemary and Natural Stone. Tier 3 colours (£174) include brighter options like White, Dazzling Yellow and Atomic Red. All painted chairs start with pressure-treated timber and receive multiple coats. You may notice water marks on flat surfaces in the first few weeks as treatment dye bleeds through, but these wash out naturally.
