Our Jeweller's Workbenches are handmade to order, designed and built to your exact requirements in our Yorkshire workshop... so you can finally have the bench you've always wanted!
With a huge range of custom options to choose from, it's no surprise we are the top rated handmade wooden Workbench makers in the UK.
Our jewellery making benches offer you something truly unique. They are made just for you, built to withstand years of use, and open up a world of limitless possibility when it comes to your jewellery projects.

Jeweller's benches feature a semi-circular cutout in the worktop where you sit, allowing you to work close to your pieces with proper arm support. This cutout comes as standard and can be positioned left, right or centre. You can add a custom bench peg holder (£19) sized to your specific bench peg. We can also create an additional cutout with extra legs (£90) if you need multiple working positions. The bench height, worktop size and storage can all be customised to create the perfect jewellery-making workspace.
Whilst we don't supply leather bench aprons, our benches are designed to accommodate them easily. You can fit a bench apron to any of our jeweller's benches, whether you choose a version with or without the drawer under the cutout. Many jewellers prefer to source their own leather aprons to match their specific working style and preferences. The semi-circular cutout is the perfect size for standard jewellery bench aprons.
For jewellery work, we recommend the drawer under the cutout (£59) to keep your most-used tools close at hand. Two half-depth lower shelves (rather than one full shelf) provide accessible storage whilst maintaining legroom. The 3-drawer set on one or both sides (£367 per side) is excellent for organising components, findings and small tools. A rear shelving unit keeps supplies visible and within easy reach. You can also add a removable bowl (£47) or small butler sink for cleaning pieces.
For jewellery work, we recommend either the 25mm or 42mm laminated worktop. These provide a completely flat, stable surface ideal for precision work. The laminated construction ensures the worktop won't warp or twist over time. If you prefer the premium option, the 43mm oak worktop offers the same flatness with a beautiful, hardwearing oak surface. The 70mm thick worktop, whilst our most popular for general woodworking, isn't necessary for jewellery making where the extra weight provides less benefit.
Yes, as each bench is made to order, we can create any height you need. The standard workbench height is 95cm, but jewellers often prefer different heights depending on whether they work sitting or standing, and their own height. When you request a quote, simply specify your preferred height and we'll build the bench to match. Many jewellers prefer a slightly lower height when working seated to maintain good posture and arm positioning.
